Natasha Markwick, Dancer, Choreographer, Teacher, Artist, and Freelance Model was selected Model of the Month for December. We have interviewed Natasha. Here is what she shared:


  • How would you describe your professional interests?

A passionate struggle, rewarding, giving life lessons and discovering one self.

  • What is your nutrition? How often do you go to the gym? Do you practice constantly?

I am a vegetarian. I put a lot of focus in what i put into my body as well as training every day. I don't go to the gym but i have my workout spots besides classes and rehearsals.

  • What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field?

I believe I can work with a more urban and athletic look and eventually benefit off my dancing background. 

  • How do you prepare for a modeling shoot?

Sleep well, drink lots of water, workout the day before or in the morning.

  • Do you have any hidden talents?

I am an amazing cook haha

  • Do you do your own hair and make-up?


  • How would you describe your style?

Consider anything and everything from color to historical eras and more. Egyptian queen with a flare of hiphop haha sounds crazy 

  • Where do you generally shop?

Puma, adidas and any kind of unique store i find by accident. 


  • What makes [your city's] fashion unique?

So many different backgrounds and cultures in one city anything can pass here. Diversity. 

  • What does your work entail? What are some of the daily habits and disciplines required to become a professional dancer?

Having a clear vision and goal. Staying true to what you are required to do to reach those goals as well as staying healthy and taking care of you body.

  • How did you get started?

I studied at an art school and realized how passionate i was about dancing and how easy it came to me too.

  • Boyfriend/Girlfriend/Husband/Wife. Does it become a problem with your progress?

Sometimes, however if he comes from the same world (artistically) and good communication i find it easier since we understand each others sometimes crazy time schedules. 

  • As a choreographer, who are your influences?  Whose work do you really like? music choice?

I have a ton of people i look up to and respect. Like MopTop, DanceFusion, Laure Courtellemont, JoJo Diggs, Lil Steph to name a few. Music. whatever moves me.   

  • What is next for you?

Building with my crew Funkaholics an entertainment company as well as performances, shows and classes.

  • State your availability: would you travel?

Work full-time, part time? Always up for traveling. i work full-time however, its my time, my work so i am always flexible on how to use it and work around whatever comes my way.

  • How was your experience working with GCPhotographers? Would you work with him again?

Was amazing. He is a great spirit as well as an amazing photographer and was jumping around to get those perfect shots. Would definitely work with him again anytime. 

  • What project(s) did you work on with GCPhotographers?

Last year on a studio set and a few months ago at an outdoor urban shoot.

Compensation $25 - $75 a hour.


I need a Ballerina but more a Modern/Contemporary Dancer for an intense editorial project. If you are one or you know one, contact me ASAP or have that artist contact me.

Summary of project: movements, flexibility...incorporating sports and editorial....mostly indoor and maybe later outdoor. Samples of what I am looking for are below: … o1_500.jpg … _dance.jpg … o1_500.jpg … 1_1280.jpg
