Danysha Van Putten, Freelance Model was selected Model of the Month for November. We have interviewed Danysha. Here is what she shared:

  • How would you describe your professional interests?

Professionally I love modeling I just feel it's my calling and I just have a passion for it.

  • What is your nutrition? How often do you go to the gym? Do you practice constantly?

I eat about two meals a day breakfast and dinner which consist of oatmeal and orange juice/water, I don't go to the gym as much as I used to but I do a combination of sit-ups, squats, push-ups and crunches.

  • What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field?

My goals as a model is to walk in the top designer shows (Chanel, Versace, Balmain, etc.) I see myself changing the way they see models not every model is a size zero the average woman is a size 8 wouldn't they want a full figured woman to model their clothes.

  • How do you prepare for a modeling shoot?

Before I shoot I have to listen to my music, my playlist consist of Kayne West, Drake, and PARTYNEXTDOOR.

  • Do you have any hidden talents?

Not so much hidden talent but one of my talents is cooking, I love cooking.

  • Do you do your own hair and make-up?

I definitely do my own hair, it's rare I allow someone to do my hair because the way my hair is I won't allow anyone to touch it unless it's mandatory. I first learned how to do my make-up on my own face and just gradually learned to perfect applying make-up to my face.

  • How would you describe your style? Consider anything and everything from color to historical eras and more.

My style is depending on how I feel or who I'm with like if I'm going out with friends, I have to be comfortable first and foremost.

  • Where do you generally shop?

I generally shop at Forever 21, H&M and Topshop.

  • What makes [your city's] fashion unique?

New York is one of the fashion cites of the world, everyone loves NY fashion my opinion I feel you can't really describe NY fashion you have to live in NY to get and like NY fashion.

  • Boyfriend/Girlfriend/Husband/Wife. Does it become a problem with your progress?

I do have a boyfriend and he's quite supportive of my career.

  • What is next for you?

Hmm honestly continue to work hard and follow my dream.

  • State your availability: would you travel? Work full-time, part time?

I work part-time and go to school full-time.

  • How was your experience working with GCPhotographers? Would you work with him again?

I love working with Christopher, great vibe definitely makes me feel relaxed when we shoot.

  • What project(s) did you work on with GCPhotographers?

I've done two shoots so far both casual shoots. My favorite one was the last shoot in SoHo, New York City.
